I provide the following SAT Prep for the math portion of the test:

- Small Group SAT Math Classes (max 6 students)
- SAT Math Tutoring (one-on-one)

In my SAT math prep students work extensively with the math portion of the 8 practice tests (these are 8 – 3 hour tests divided into 4 parts) that are available in the College Board’s *The Official SAT Study Guide*. Mastering the material in these practice tests is considered the foundation of what students need to learn in order to score well on the SATs.

Doing SAT math prep helps students to remember, tie together, and connect mathematical concepts that they learned in bits and pieces over a period of two to three years. Focused SAT math prep can can help students improve their foundational math skills and improve their scores on the test.

SAT Prep is better thought of as a 100 mile trail run, rather than a 50 meter sprint. It is a good idea to start prepping well in advance. Some SAT prep companies recommend a year of SAT prep. This gives a student the opportunity for breaks, and the chance to cycle back to material that needs a second pass.

**SAT Math Prep Classes**

I offer an ongoing series of small group SAT math prep classes (max 6 students) that are ideal for a cost-effective way to do SAT math review.

In each class we will be working or way through the math portions of *The Official SAT Study Guide*. Classes are available on Saturdays during the school year (with breaks around vacations and finals prep), and on weekdays during the summer break.

The cost is $140 for a 4 class session (so $35 for each 2 hour class). Students commit to a group of classes and pay in advance for those classes.

For the spring of 2020, the SAT Math Prep class is meeting on Saturday from 11:30 – 1:30.
